What is SR9009?
SR9009, also known as Stenabolic, is a synthetic Rev-ErbA agonist, developed by Professor Thomas Burris at The Scripps Research Institute. It was initially designed for studying metabolic and circadian functions. While often grouped with SARMs (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators), SR9009 is not a SARM — it does not bind to androgen receptors. Instead, it works on metabolic pathways.
⚙️ Mechanism of Action
SR9009 activates Rev-Erbα, a protein that regulates:
-
Circadian rhythm
-
Mitochondrial function
-
Fat and glucose metabolism
-
Inflammatory response
By enhancing Rev-Erbα activity, SR9009 increases energy expenditure, improves endurance, and alters how the body stores and uses fat.
💪 Benefits
-
Increased Endurance: Often called “exercise in a pill,” SR9009 may help improve stamina and cardiovascular performance.
-
Fat Loss: It boosts metabolic rate and helps the body burn fat more efficiently.
-
Improved Lipid & Glucose Profile: May lower LDL cholesterol and improve insulin sensitivity.
-
Reduced Inflammation: Potential anti-inflammatory benefits.
-
Non-Hormonal: Does not suppress testosterone, so no PCT (Post-Cycle Therapy) is typically needed.
